Where the Lost discussion has gone

We are to believe that everyone is working out their post-death, pre-heaven issues with some baloney scrambled-up existence? Why? It’s pointless.

How is that different from regular life?
Or maybe more to the point: Why wait until you die to go after the things that you want?
Have at it.
Yeah, I was thinking about sunken island and decided that it probably didn’t mean much. Given that I didn’t really actively think about it during the season, I don’t much care.
I have given it some more thought and I was wrong about sunken island. I now believe sunken island was sunken because sunken island is either simply dead in afterlife world OR it is sunken because characters had not yet been awakened to their memories of island. Either works for me. Frankly, my first theory worked for me too, but it’s almost certainly wrong. At any rate, not terribly intersted in sunken island. Wasn’t something I gave much thought to as the season progressed. If you had been hoping the sideways world would provide a definitive answer for sunken island and that answer would be crucial to the final outcome, I can certainly understand how it would be a big disappointment to you.
