ME: I just took a walk and saw the For Sale sign outside a brownstone two blocks away and I was intrigued. Um:

DAD: Totally stunning. And probably a bargain at 2.1 M.

ME: Judging by the picture, it’s been on the market a long time (no leaves on the trees). I wonder what it started at.

DAD: Well it is really nice. So if you can get them to drop the price by another 1.5M or so I’m in.

ME: Well, I could just go start committing crimes out front to drive the price down, which has the advantage of cash to put back into the project.

DAD: Creative. […] It’s about time you did something creative.

ME: What does that mean?

DAD: Nothing.
